Beautiful and continual life forces exist all around us. I am inspired by nature in its most basic form, and also its most complex.
I incorporate these elements into my work.
My paintings reflect the simple repetition of an element, which becomes more than what it is. Compounded, the element begins to grow and expand.
In my pen and inks, the fluid ink is free to expand, yet struggles as it finally settles into its destined place on the paper.
Both processes can be found in nature, in life.
I hope that my work will evoke distant memories in the viewer.
Memories of a time that seemed simple but had complications, as all life does.
Memories of beauty, of sound and smell. Memories of comfort and wonder.
Memories that exist within us all, when we are open to their presence.

2011-
I have returned to my easel after a year of absence from my paints. I have begun painting again and have found joy in my love of horses. I hope that you will enjoy my new work and the new directions I am being guided from within to explore. I have a new found excitement and perspective on nature, life and death that has forever changed me. My journey continues....
